Safety

Safe on paint. Honest about limits.

Waterless washing is gentler on a clear coat than brushes or a sponge, as long as the car is a candidate. Here is how it works and when we will tell you to rinse first.

How it works

Three things happen on every panel.

1

Encapsulate

A fine mist of polymers and surfactants lands on the panel and wraps each particle of dust so it floats off the surface instead of sitting on it.

2

Lift

A plush microfiber towel lifts the wrapped dirt in one direction, folded to a clean side for every panel. Nothing gets dragged across the paint twice.

3

Protect

What stays behind is a thin polymer layer that adds gloss, beads water and gives the clear coat a little UV protection until the next wash.

Why it does not scratch

Scratches come from grit and pressure. We remove both.

A towel cannot scratch paint on its own. Grit dragged under pressure can. The lubricating film keeps the particle off the surface and the plush weave pulls it into the towel instead of across the panel.

Tunnel wash

Spinning brushes and recycled water carry grit from the last hundred cars. That is where swirl marks come from.

Driveway hose and sponge

A sponge traps grit and grinds it in. A single bucket re-applies what you just took off.

RUB A DUB

Fresh towels for every car, a lubricating film under every pass, no brushes, no recycled water, no runoff.

When we say no

Heavily soiled cars are not candidates. We will tell you.

If a provider arrives and the body is caked, they will photograph it, clean what is safe to clean, usually the interior and glass, and ask you to rinse the rest before the next visit. You are only ever charged for what we did.

Caked-on mud

Dried mud is grit held together with clay. Wiping it moves it across the paint. Rinse it off at a pressure wash first, then book us.

Road salt crust

A winter crust needs water to dissolve. We will clean the interior and glass and tell you to come back once the body has been rinsed.

Sand and beach trips

Fine sand behaves like sandpaper under a towel. A quick rinse before we arrive and the car is a perfect candidate again.

Off-road and construction sites

Heavy soil is not a wash job. Once it is rinsed down to ordinary dirt, we take it from there.

We also do not do engine bays, undercarriages, tar removal or paint correction as part of a wash. Ask about a Full Detail for stains and stubborn marks.

Ordinary dirt? Perfect candidate.

Dust, pollen, fingerprints, bird droppings, light road film. That is ninety-plus percent of cars and exactly what we are built for.
