Our Story

Founded in 2014 and refined in 2016 out of Catholic University, RUB A DUB began as a simple idea: bring premium car care to where people work.

We partnered with top-tier real estate developers and parking managers in the Washington, D.C. area to offer eco-friendly, app-based vehicle detailing directly from commercial garage structures. Our clients could book from their phone, leave their keys, and return to a spotless car—all while never leaving their building.

But when COVID hit and work-from-home mandates emptied office garages, our entire customer base vanished almost overnight. We paused operations to protect the team and reposition the business.

RUB A DUB was never just about car care. It was a forward-thinking logistics platform designed to operate within the built environment—paving the way for servicing fleets of robo-taxis, driverless delivery pods, and connected city vehicles.
We envision a network of smart wash hubs embedded in existing structures, capable of interfacing with autonomous navigation systems and predictive maintenance software. RUB A DUB was—and is—a first step toward that future.
